Why learn with us?
Learn to drive a KIA CEED, the model used in the CSDD category B driving test
The CSDD category B driving test is taken in a Kia Ceed. Two of our instructors teach in the same model, helping you feel more confident on test day.
- The same car modelA Kia Ceed, the car the test itself is driven in.
- Manual gearboxThe same as the one the test is taken with.
- Everything stays the same on test dayThe mirrors, seat, steering wheel and dimensions are the same as in the test car. Nothing changes.

Why STNIG
Five things driving schools do not usually promise
The concrete things that decide how easy the course will be for you.
Easy to get to
Savienības iela 2, Jelgava. Easy to reach on foot, by bus, or on the way home from work.
No exaggerated school exams
Our job is to prepare you for the CSDD exam, not to add extra hurdles on the way to it.
We work weekends as well
Weekend groups and driving lessons on Saturdays and Sundays, if your week is full.
First aid and the medical board on site
Both take place at the school, so there is no separate place to find and book.
A cooperative attitude
If your schedule changes or something is unclear, talk to us. That is not a stock phrase — call and see.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a category B licence cost?
Category B training at STNIG costs 400 €: twenty driving lessons at 15 € each and the theory at 100 €. On top of that you should budget for the medical certificate, the CSDD fees and any extra driving lessons you need.
How long does category B training take?
The theory course takes 4–6 weeks depending on the group. The weekday evening group meets three times a week, the weekend group twice a week. How many driving lessons you need depends on how quickly you feel confident behind the wheel.
Can I take the theory course online?
Yes. Theory is available both in class in central Jelgava and online. You can choose the format in the application form, and change it later by contacting us.
Can I take the first aid course if I am not studying at STNIG?
Yes. You can book the first aid course even if you are training at another driving school. Lessons take place at our premises and demand is high, so book early.
How often do new category B groups start?
We open a new group roughly every two weeks. Current dates are in the lesson schedule, which is updated as soon as a group is announced.
